This patient had lost all of the upper teeth due to periodontal disease. Now he wanted something permanent functionally and esthetically. He had been to several offices but he did not like treatment choices presented including denture. He came to our office looking for solutions.
This case was very complex reconstruction requiring many dental implants and several temporization to re-establish his biting surface. When you lose all teeth, you lose all the landmarks in respect to your face and bite surface and neuromuscular's new dimension. Now he got something to smile on.
This patient came to my office looking for second opinion. She was advised to remove all upper teeth. Since she did not have many teeth to support her bite, remaining teeth were very loose and mobile.
This reconstruction of her smile was accomplished using several phases approach. Using existing teeth, her own occlusal dimension was kept while a few implants were placed at a time. Sinus bone augmentation was also done to thicken her bone. Now with several implants, her occlusal force was evenly spread out and she was able to save her remaining teeth.
This patient had many failing teeth due to multiple decays. And the patient was not happy with discolored teeth as well. Patient's desire was to have something permanent functionally and esthetically such that he did not have to keep fixing his teeth again and again.
The solution was implant-supported knus denture. At the time of extractions, four implants were placed with sinus bone augmentation. The knus denture is best option since he does not have to worry about any new cavity and the denture is supported and retained by implants which give superior biting function and esthetic. Now he does not have to worry about constant teeth problem.
This patient had only three teeth left and wanted to find out what options he had. He had dentures made past but he did not like the denture moving around inside of his mouth.
The solution for his denture and affordability was implant-supported Konus denture. Four dental implants were placed for each arch, and titanium-metal frame dentures were fabricated and attached to the implants using CAD-CAM milled abutment. This custom abutments are so precise such that dentures and implants are held by metal frication. This type of denture not only supports his occlusal force but also prevents any denture dislodgment. He was very happy with the final result.
This patient came to our office for second opinion for her implant treatment. She has been missing teeth so many years and now she is ready for something permanent. She was told that implant treatment would be difficult for her because of the severe atrophied bone.
This implant reconstruction would require significant bone grafting in order to thicken her bone ridge to accommodate dental implants. With successful bone grafting, two dental implants were placed and restored with porcelain crown. Now patient can enjoy eating and she is happy to have nicely balanced bite.
